Sugar Interview

SUGAR: Do you think that everybody's destiny is predestined, or do you think that everybody can influence it?

DEVON: I don't believe that anything in our life is predestined. I'm too realistic for it. I live my life and I only wait for what the day brings.

SUGAR: Did you ever have a shady premonition about something horrible?

DEVON: Actually never. Sometimes I dream crazy things, but I don't believe that they will become true or that they will influence my life.

SUGAR: So you only believe in your mind. Do you never follow your instinct?

DEVON: I always do what I want. I have nothing in common with Alex Browning. That was only a role for me and I want to entertain my audience with it. I would never say that I believe in premonition, only because I act in that movie. It would be liar.

SUGAR: Did the film change something on you?

DEVON: To tell you the truth, I think more about it, when I get on a plane. I got more frightened and I am always happy when the jet lands safely. I often travel by plane to visit my family in Vancouver.

SUGAR: Do you try to avoid dangerous situations in your life?

DEVON: Sometimes I'm afraid. I don't do Skydiving or Bungee jumping for example. That wouldn't be a hobby for me. You don't have to provoke dangerous situations.

SUGAR: But normal things like spiders, snakes and mice can't make you afraid...?

DEVON: Oh yes! Spiders and mice are ok, but I'm really afraid of snakes. Once I've been camping with some friends and we heard that there were snakes in that area. I took care with every step. I've been really afraid in the tent at night, that a snake could crow into it. I got in panic every time when I heard something in the bushes.

SUGAR: A private question...do you have a girlfriend?

DEVON: I have a girlfriend since seven month, but I don't want to say her name. It's private. Seven years ago we first met us in Los Angeles. Then we hadn't seen us for a long time and one day we fell in love.

SUGAR: Did your life change with this relationship?

DEVON: I used to play hockey and soccer. But I gave it up because of my job. Acting is stressing and time-consuming. When I have a free day I go out with my girlfriend. Since we're together I became more romantic.
