Devon Finds "A Cool Dry Place"
June 13 1997
Devon Sawa, the hottest Canadian teen idol since Michael J. Fox's voice first cracked on Family Ties, has landed a role opposite Vince Vaughn (Swingers) in the upcoming A Cool, Dry Place, Variety reports.
The Fox movie is about a part-time lawyer (Vaughn) whose wife (Monica Potter) walks out on him and their four-year-old son. Father and son head to Kansas, where Vaughn finds a new love, played by Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy). Sawa will play Adams' younger brother.
The Internet pinup is best known for his roles in Casper and Now and Then, and he'll soon be seen opposite Jonathan Taylor Thomas in Wild America.
