Who's Hot: Devon Sawa

Babelicious Devon Sawa is definitely a star on the rise. And lucky, lucky Christina Ricci has kissed him twice! Firstly in the unforgettable closing scene of Casper and more recently in Now and Then. "It wasn't planned — it was just a coincidence that we were going to be love interests again," Devon says. But all we can say is, some girls have all the fun!

Devon, 17, was born in Canada and lives in Vancouver with his parents, brother Brandon, 14, and his sister Stephanie, 10. And unlike most wannabe young stars, he has no plans to move to Hollywood. "I'll always live here and just go to LA for work," he says.

While we've only seen glimpses of Devon so far, he's actually been doing his acting thing in Canada for years. He started his career in youth theatre, did lots of TV commercials and was also on a Canadian teen soap called Kidzone. His film debut as the cute human Casper was quickly followed by Little Giants (both out on video), playing quarterback Junior Floyd. Right now, Devon stars in Now and Then as Scott Wormer, the neighborhood pest who becomes Christina Ricci's character, Roberta's first love. For Devon fans, the highlight of this film has to be his skinny-dipping scene, which, he agrees, "was embarrassing at first but I got used to running around naked." And you have to have a little sympathy for Devon here — that scene was filmed in the middle of winter!

As for Devon's future, he's happy to go with the flow and continue his acting and he's also interested in the other side of the camera, directing or producing. He's just finished a drama called The Boys' Club and is about to start working on Wild America with Jonathon Taylor Thomas (double yum!), so we're betting that Devon's career is on the way up!
